Good new folks, TDC is up and moving.! That's right, I got word earlier today that he is able to walk, eat, and talk to an extent... talking being mostly curse words and lewd comments towards his nurses (saints). However, the odd thing is he still is not making much progress in the bathroom department, instead willingly choosing to not use the washroom and all and opting for the hospital issued adult diapers. But hey progress is progress am I right? I know he would love nothing more than to say hello and were hoping for his return very soon. Well, its sad to tell you all this but TDC finally went off the deep end. Literally, he fell into an empty Best Western Pool after a night of binge drinking with the a few of the hotel janitors and cleaning ladies and really hurt himself. Needless to saw he's in bad shape. His breathing is labored, he's very, very weak, and now his swollen legs are beginning to release a very bad odor, making visiting with him impossible. So there's that. At least he's alive. I guess. Blast from the past kids! Way back in 2015, due to a stale mate in contract negotiations, plus an ongoing issue regarding TDC's alcohol abuse, Mike and Charley were forced off the air for the first time in their 30+ year career. But have no fear fat boys and fan boys a like; with a couple of microphones, a little know how and some down home Chicago grit the Monsters went off on their own to self produce their show with no corporate interference. What followed was a string of unleashed recordings which capture the purity of Monsters in the Morning and their legacy as a cultural institution. Enjoy?

I'm overweight, I know that now. It took a long time for me to really "say" those words, but I can't tell you how good it feels to finally be "free" enough to speak them out loud without weeping uncontrollably. I have a problem, food. It's been my largest struggle most of my life. I can remember being whooped on Christmas morning by my mother for eating an entire tray of Magic Bars meant for our soon to be arriving guests. Or the time I consumed an entire jar of mayo in my Grandfathers garden and nearly died. But now I finally feel like I can beat this monster, lift this weight and become truly happy again. I can't stop this illness, but I can control it, for I have the power and it is I who is behind the wheel. - Mike.
